Jeremy G. Schneider is a Social Worker, Family Therapist, and Chief Technology Officer working at the intersection of mental health and technology. He writes a regular column on Artificial Intelligence and Mental Health for Psychology Today, teaches continuing education courses and guest lectures at universities, and speaks and trains at conferences and for organizations on AI and emotional wellness.
His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and on CNN, and he has been published or interviewed across eight countries. He has appeared on more than two dozen podcasts spanning parenting, trauma, emotional wellness, and AI.
Psychology Today: AI and Mental Health
Jeremy writes the regular Human-Centered Technology column for Psychology Today on artificial intelligence and mental health, examining what happens when people turn to AI for emotional support and what that means for clinicians and the people they treat.
University Teaching
Jeremy has taught continuing education courses and guest lectures on AI and mental health at universities including Rutgers University, Loma Linda and Penn State.
Therapists in his Rutgers continuing education course, “AI and Mental Health: A Clinical Framework for the Modern Therapist,” rated the course extremely or very valuable (95%), left feeling more confident working with clients who use AI (95%), and said they would recommend it to a colleague (98%).
