But I discovered healing didn’t change who I was. It freed me to become who I’d always been underneath the weight of my past. 

The most important lessons in my recovery didn’t come from therapy rooms (though I spent hundreds of hours there). They came through lived experience, personal exploration, and the daily work of remembering: I was always good enough. If I am, you are too.
