A Trauma-Informed Complement to Therapy (Not a Replacement)

I don’t do therapy. Not anymore.

I provide an alternative for people who don’t need intensive clinical work, but still want skilled support. Many people don’t need to reprocess every trauma—they need to understand how their past shows up in their present, and how to live differently because of it.

That’s where this coaching comes in.

Who I Help

I work with individuals who are ready to move forward but feel stuck. They want to understand their emotional patterns, respond differently, and take practical steps toward a better life.

Ideal for clients who:

  • Are stable but stalled—emotionally, relationally, or behaviorally
  • Want support understanding patterns without reopening old wounds
  • Have completed therapy or are therapy-hesitant, but still want structured growth

What I Offer

This work builds clarity and momentum.

Coaching sessions focus on:

  • Self-awareness — noticing triggers, responses, and recurring patterns
  • Emotional skills — regulation, boundary-setting, decision-making
  • Forward action — small, sustainable shifts that lead to lasting change

My approach is trauma-informed and draws from models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS)—always within a coaching frame.

I use techniques, not treatment.

What I Don’t Do

This is not therapy, and I stay within clear scope boundaries. I do not provide:

  • Clinical diagnosis or treatment plans
  • Processing of active trauma memories
  • Support for clients in acute mental health crisis

When to Refer

Therapists refer to me when:

  • A client is stable but not progressing
  • A client finishes therapy and wants continued support
  • You have a waitlist or overflow and want to direct clients to aligned, ethical care

Why Refer

This coaching respects clinical boundaries.
It’s structured, trauma-informed, and forward-oriented.

  • Clear on scope and limits
  • Centered on client autonomy and next steps
  • Designed to complement—not compete with—ongoing or prior clinical work

Clients feel empowered. Clinicians stay primary. Everyone’s role is respected.

About Me

Jeremy G. Schneider, LMSW, MFT

  • Licensed Master Social Worker
  • Master’s Family Therapy
  • Certified Life Coach

I trained as a therapist and worked in clinical settings. But the more I sat with clients—and the more I did my own healing work—the clearer it became:

Not everyone needs more treatment. Some people need something else: Structure. Emotional support. Practical tools to move forward.

That’s why I shifted into coaching. It gives me the space to do the work I believe in:

  • Helping people understand how their past still shapes their present
  • Supporting emotional growth without reprocessing every trauma
  • Offering insight and encouragement that’s personalized, not protocol-driven

Healing doesn’t always come from revisiting the past. Sometimes, it comes from learning how to live differently because of it.

That’s the blueprint I share with my clients—and coaching has proven the best format for that work.

This isn’t therapy. But it is deep, structured, and oriented toward life change. I stay within scope, collaborate with clinicians when appropriate, and care deeply about doing right by the people who trust me to help.
